The band rose to prominence during the 70s with highly-acclaimed albums, The Joker, Fly Like An Eagle, and Book of Dreams. During the ‘80s, the band maintained its phenomenal career by dropping several hitmaking records like Circle of Love, Abracadabra, and Italian X-Rays. Many of their popular releases were certified platinum. Their breakthrough record, The Joker, notably sold over five million copies in the U.S. The album peaked at number 2 on Billboard’s Top LPs & Tape chart. One of their best-selling records, Fly Like An Eagle, notably sold over four million copies in the U.S., earning quadruple platinum status. Steve Miller Band brings in legendary singer-songwriter Bruce Hornsby as special guests for their show in Tanglewood. Hornsby is a three-time Grammy Award winner who has released exemplary records since 1986. His debut album, The Way It Is was certified triple platinum and peaked at number 3 on the Billboard 200 upon its release. Released under the name Bruce Hornsby and the Range, the album helped Hornsy win the Grammy Award for Best New Artist.
