This will be a truly unique music experience and you cannot ask for better than to hear the illustrious Emanuel Ax play live, watching as his fingers caress, skim and push the keys of the piano, bringing classical music to life in a manner that is transcending. Joining him are four renowned classical musicians, bringing their expertise and heart to the music of the composers Antonín Dvořák, Leoš Janáček and Vítězslava Kaprálová. Renowned celloist Yo-Yo Ma is collaborating with Emanuel Ax again for this recital. They have performed together numerous times, creating a relationship that adds more depth and poignancy to the music, and making it more accessible to a wider audience. Together they will perform Leoš Janáček’s ‘Fairytale’ for the piano and cello, their musical chemistry adding more depth to the magic of the piece. Joining them is violinist Leonidas Kavakos, adding his wonderous playing to the pieces, such as Dvořák’s Terzetto in C and Pamela Frank will be adding her own flare with her dexterous violin playing. Antoine Tamestit will be finishing the quintet by performing on the viola.
