Elvis Costello is an award-winning English singer-songwriter considered one of the century's most influential rock acts. Born in London with not only Irish descent, Declan Patrick MacManus, professionally known as Elvis Costello, is the son of Day Costello, a musician and vocalist of multiple notable musical performances. He first worked his way into the music industry, starting with backing vocals for his father's television commercial when he was 19 years old. But during those gigs, he was already scheming a few of his own music and original compositions.

Costello formed a band in 1974 and continued performing with several other artists, bouncing from dense pop to classical compositions. He had a steady career with the Attractions during the 80s and was able to gather loyal fans in the span of multiple rapid hit songs after hit songs. By 1977, Costello released his debut album "My Aim Is True," which was well-received in the UK and was able to climb up to number 14 on the British charts. He was able to release nearly 30 solo albums and 13 collaborative records. The latest of which is his 2021 solo album, "The Bot Named If." He also had a collaboration album with Rusty, released in 2022, named "The Resurrection of Rust."

By the 2010s, Costello had been backed by the later-formed band the Impostors. After recording together "Look Now" in 2018, they were able to win the Grammy Award for "Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album" at the 62nd Grammy Awards.

Costello has yet to stop the career train when he has been brewing an exciting North American tour along with the Imposters called "We're All Going On A Summer Holiday." With the announcement of this tour, Costello also released the song compilation "The Song of Bacharach and Costello," dedicated as an honor to the memory of Bacharach, who died earlier this year. The tour will be in the midst of June and July from Vancouver to Philadelphia.

It's no wonder fans are getting up and ready for the spring and summer tour announced by Costello because this 2023, he'll be tagging along with other artists and bands in the journey across North America. Keep a lookout because they'll be stopping by at Tanglewood this 1st of July to bring you the performances of a lifetime! Reserve those tickets and ready those punk rock red boots for a fun night with the legendary Elvis Costello and the Impostors!
