Bonnie Raitt & Lucinda Williams comes to Tanglewood Music Center on Saturday 18th June 2022 as part of Raitt’s Just Like That tour. Bonnie Raitt will be accompanied by Lucinda Williams, who is another highly famed rock, folk and country musician. Williams is also a longtime friend of Bonnie Raitt, and the two will be sharing the stage for this iconic performance. Raitt’s tour kicks off on 28th March and concludes in mid-November. Raitt will be playing plenty of tunes from her latest album release, Just Like That. Bonnie Raitt is an American blues legend who began her career back in 1970. She is one of the most celebrated artists in the industry and has released several hits throughout her career. She has received ten competitive Grammy awards and a well-deserved Grammy Lifetime achievement award. Rolling Stone honors her with the number 50 spot on its “100 Greatest Singers of All Time” list. Music critics have given her widespread appreciation for her ability to transform lyrics into a thing of musical brilliance. She has also collaborated with well-known artists such as Leon Russell, Jackson Brownie, Warren Zevon and John Prince.
Williams expressed great excitement about the upcoming tour and praised her touring partner, Lucinda Williams. Williams herself has had a very iconic career with three Grammy awards and seventeen nominations. VH1 ranked Williams at 97 on the “100 Greatest Women in Rock & Roll” in 1999. In 2002, Williams was also named “America’s Best Songwriter” in Time Magazine.
